HIRE A LICENCED CONTRACTOR

It is the Law… Contractors in Nevada are required to be licensed by the State of Nevada.
A licensed contractor provides safety and protection for the consumer.
The consumer receives the following protections:

The contractor must carry the following insurance.

Liability Insurance:
Protects your home from damages caused by the contractor or their employees.

Compensation Insurance:
Protects you against lawsuits from injury attorneys in the event a worker gets injured while on your property.

In case of a dispute:
The Contractor’s Board oversees the contractor and consumer relationship if anything goes wrong. Simply making a written report to the board and they investigate. There is NO charge to you for this service. If they find the work was not to industry standards the contractor must make corrections or face fines and possibly lose their license. You do not get this protection when hiring a non-licensed contractor.

Homeowners who use unlicensed contractors, “ARE NOT ELIGIBLE” FOR THE RESIDENTIAL RECOVERY FUND”! By law a contract with an unlicensed contractor is: NULL AND VOID!
Which simply means you cannot take an unlicensed contractor to court for any damages. To learn more about why you should hire a licensed contractor’s, click on the link
